Recreational/Event/Meeting Center aka “The Barn”
- Built in 1996, this building was never a barn. Intended for a recreation/meeting center with dorm-style hostel accommodations, the building has never been permitted for sleeping. The owner obtained the permit to complete the building and went no further with the permitting process.
- Cedar board & batten siding with composition roof.
- Cement floors on the ground level with soft wood flooring in the loft
- Dorm style bathroom which includes 1 shower and 1 toilet in each of two private areas, and four sinks in the common area.
- Three rooms with direct access to the outdoors
- Full kitchen accessible from indoors and outdoors
- Fully approved and permitted, the pressure flush septic was installed in 1998 and expanded the property rating to 100 persons total. This system was last pumped and inspected in 2007 by Niece Pumping.
- Heating is provided by electric wall heaters (in the small rooms) and the propane fireplace in the large public areas. The propane tank is leased.
- The skylight leaked right after installation and was successfully repaired by replacing the skylight.
The Log Home
- Built in 1986
- 1770 sf
- Approved and permitted as a Boarding House with septic rated for 8 persons
- Solid log construction with composition roof
- Heated by a propane stove in the keeping room and free standing electric heaters in the other areas. The electric “cadet” heaters are currently disconnected but functional.
- Each of 2 downstairs bedrooms, currently hostel “dorm” rooms, has a ¾ bath. These baths have a sink open to the room and the toilet and shower each have a private enclosure.
- The “Cloud Room”, with a private ¾ bathroom, is accessible through the upper loft or via the deck stairs.
- The kitchen includes a range/oven and refrigerator.
- The double pane windows were installed in 1996
